About Us

    Our chapter started out in the Chamber of Commerce as part of the Labor Committee. In 1986, some of those committee members formed the base of our chapter and joined ASPA, American Society of Personnel Administration. And, in 1989, ASPA became SHRM.

    When are meetings? The WASHRM meetings are held each month, typically on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

    Where are the meetings held? Please look at the Meetings & Events page for meeting detailes. 

    What time does the monthly meeting begin?  Breakfast meetings begin at 8:30a.m. with networking beginning at 8:00a.m.  Lunch meetings begin at Noon (12:00p.m.) with networking staring at 11:30a.m. Dinner meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. with networking beginning at 5:30 p.m. The business meetings last approimately 30 minutes followed by a learning presention that is approximately 1 1/2 hours long.

    How can I become a member?  You can join WASHRM by downloading a membership application and mailing it in with your check or money order or completing an online application and paying online. Click HERE for more details.

    What is Membership Term and Dues? Dues run from January 1 – December 31, each year and are renewed each January.  Annual dues are only $120. Dues are prorated from October – December @ $30.00. To Join or Renew, click HERE.
